Fish Types

Papio, or juvenile Blue-Fin Trevalley is a common reef and sand bar fish. this fish is most prevalent in areas that sand bar meets with reef in shallow (10 feet) to deep (30 feet) water. it is a fish that will take after fast moving prey.
This guy is a Goat Fish. There are eight different types of this fish swimming in Maui's reefs and flats. i could go through them all but the most common is the Weke'a or yellow stripe goat fish.
And this guy i think we all know. This here is the prize of salt water fly fishing: the bone fish or O'io. these guys love the sandy flats and shorelines and give a great fight.
